Good Karma

As a recruit in the Karma Army, we know you believe it’s BAD KARMA to steal.

Here at HQ, we also believe it’s GOOD KARMA to give back.

There are people around the world who ride a bicycle or motorbike, not for a fun on the weekends, but as their livelihood.

It might be how they deliver their crops to the marketplace…

It might be their transportation to work…

It might be how their kids get to the only school for miles.

So we’ve made it easy to help those in need. Below are some great causes that need your support. Give what you can and let’s all spread a little good karma to make up for those rotten bike thieves out there…

Kiva's mission is to connect people through lending for the sake of alleviating poverty.

Kiva is the world's first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs around the globe.

The people you see on Kiva's site are real individuals in need of funding - not marketing material. When you browse entrepreneurs' profiles on the site, choose someone to lend to, and then make a loan, you are helping a real person make great strides towards economic independence and improve life for themselves, their family, and their community. Throughout the course of the loan (usually 6-12 months), you can receive email journal updates and track repayments. Then, when you get your loan money back, you can re-lend to someone else in need.

DonorsChoose.org is an online charity that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. Here's how it works: public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on DonorsChoose.org. Then, you can browse project requests and give any amount to the one that makes your eye twinkle. Once a project reaches its funding goal, we deliver the materials to the school.
You'll get photos of your project taking place, a thank-you letter from the teacher, and a cost report showing how each dollar was spent. If you give over $100, you'll also receive hand-written thank-you letters from the students.

At DonorsChoose.org, you can give as little as $1 and get the same level of choice, transparency, and feedback that is traditionally reserved for someone who gives millions. We call it citizen philanthropy.
