Thank You for taking a few moments to learn about KarmaArmy and why it might be helpful to you. (see Mission Statement, also.)

Senan Gorman, aka: GeneralKarma

To "Do Something About It!" the KarmaArmy concept was conceived immediately following the theft of my 6-ride old Specialized FSR, nearly 10 years ago. The initial public awareness campaign began with "BAD KARMA To Bike Thieves" stickers for everyone I met. On singletracks, parking lots after a ride, trail heads, bars, parties, etc. The goal was to raise awareness of bike theft & how common it is. Don't you know at least one person who has had a bike stolen? If not yourself.

My company, North Pole Design specializes in illustrated/animated/interactive mapping applications for the Snow Sports Industry. Amusement Parks, Waterparks, towns & cities, etc. (Please check out NorthPoleDesign.com for more information & examples of our work.)Working in the ski & snowboard industry, I noticed that theft is a major problem at nearly every resort in the world. Austrian resorts lost over 10,000 skis in one season in 2005.

Thus, "BAD KARMA To Ski Thieves" & "BAD KARMA To Board Thieves" stickers were released.

The evolution of this concept just over the past year has been incredible. Previously when handing out these stickers, I was asked, "What does it do?". My answer was typically, "Perhaps deter somebody from stealing your board." >> Fast Forward to today >> With the right communication tools at our fingertips, we can make a difference on many levels while helping to get more property back in the hands of their rightful owners.

The MISSION for KarmaArmy is growing in all the right directions. Please tell a friend, a riding buddy or 2, etc.

ABOUT K.A.:

We're all involved in a different kind of war. Our daily battle against those whose job it is to steal & pilfer from us, marches on. Police try their best to investigate & recover; but often there are bigger fish to fry than recovering a stolen bike. But to us. It's a different story. We're bikers, cyclists, skiers, snowboarders, park rats, groms, sk8rs, jibbers, etc. And our gear is MISSION CRITICAL in many ways.

As Karma Army members, we can connect with each others' exponential networks for lightening fast, global communication. Let technology be our weapons of choice. Utilizing your ability to send & monitor KarmaAlerts, we will all be enabled to help prevent, deter & recover stolen property with a collective network of like-minded individuals. How cool would it be to put as many of these guys out of business, as possible!?

Our idea is simple, the mission essential, the means right here. Let's go find your stuff!

Keepin' It Wheel,

GeneralKarma
